The Academic Support Center
Welcome back Students!
The Academic Support Center (ASC) is all about providing students with a greater access to Davenport University resources and Library information. In addition to being a great place to relax and study we have computers, printers, databases and technology assistance.
Our databases are accessible from home as long as you have access to a computer and the internet, and our physical library is open regular hours during the week to provide assistance. We offer help in finding books and articles for papers and class projects. The library can also help with APA formatting and style. We can show you how to find good quality research articles and the differences between good and bad sources. Our student workers are Davenport technology, business and accounting students, so please ask us questions about your classes!
The ASC offers workshops, training, information about internships and Study Abroad opportunities. We can connect you to resources for Credit for Prior Learning, Experiential Learning and First Year Experience initiatives such as the Common Read program. We also have representatives from the Students Outreaching Students for support, guidance and tips for success. The ASC is available to instructors to meet with students for individual assistance or office hours.
Need information about tutoring and testing services? The ASC can also provide you with this information.
The Academic Support Center is about access, information and providing assistance to help students get the most out of the Library and university services. We are here to help, so please stop on in and see what Jason and the Holland Library/ASC staff can do for you!
