Conduct Process

Conduct Process

A Hearing Council is comprised of one faculty member, one staff member and one student, chosen from a pool of individuals trained in university policy and procedures regarding the Student Code, Academic Integrity, and Complaint Resolution.

The Hearing Council is charged with hearing a student or student organization's conduct case, clarifying events and actions, and determining if a violation of the Student Code of Conduct has occurred.  If a student is found responsible for violating a Code of Conduct policy, the Hearing Council is also charged with determining appropriate sanctioning for the violation. In the Complaint Resolution process the Hearing Council is the final step in the resolution process.

New members of the hearing council are added to the pool of individuals every year. If interested please email us or contact any member of the Center for Campus Life team.
