Janine joined Davenport University as a full-time faculty member in 2011. Prior to that, she taught nursing classes as an adjunct at the community college level. Her teaching specialty is med-surg in classroom, clinical, and simulation formats.
Janine began her nursing career in 2001 after spending 14 years as a paralegal. She started as an oncology nurse at Spectrum Health in Grand Rapids and worked in the medical intensive care unit for several years. She maintains her CCRN (critical care nurse) certification and is a member of the American Association of Critical Care Nurses.
